Lake Powell is a man-made reservoir on the Colorado River that straddles the border between Utah and Arizona. Created by the flooding of Glen Canyon from the controversial Glen Canyon Dam, it led to the creation of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a popular summer recreation destination.
At approximately 0.75 miles long, this is the longest cave of its kind in Arizona, and it is freely accessible to the general public. Remember to bring your jacket and a bright head lamp to see all there is to see!

The Wave is a sandstone rock formation in the Coyote Buttes area of the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness on the Utah/Arizona border. The scenery is breathtaking. It’s a great destination for a short (about 6 miles round-trip), moderately difficult day hike.
